Kevin Prince Boateng Question Kwesi Nyantakyi After Anas Exposé

Former Black Stars midfielder, Kevin Prince Boateng has reacted to the latest investigative piece from Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ which has shaken the foundations of Ghanaian football and exposing the GFA Boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Though Kevin’s reaction could best be described as subtle, it posed a big question to the powers that be.

In a tweet on Thursday, barely 24 hours after Anas’ explosive expose was shown to a section of Ghanaians, Kevin Prince Boateng asked “and now, who was the one not telling the truth?” with a Ghana flag beside his question.

Kevin Prince Boateng has changed his profile picture to one of his body tattoo images with the inscription: ” I was quiet not blind”

The midfielder was an integral member of the Black Stars teams for 2010 which reached the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup in 2010 and also made the list for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

But he, alongside Sulley Muntari, was sacked after allegedly disrespecting some officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) during discussions over the team’s bonuses.

Kevin who was born to German mother and has lived almost his entire life out of Ghana, it was later learned, did not understand why some officials of the GFA were deducting monies from the players’ bonuses.

Though the GFA officials denied his claims, Kevin maintained that his claim was true and has since been out of the senior national team.

Anas’ expose which dubbed, Number 12, has however given credence to the many corruption allegations leveled against FA officials over the years.

Apart the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi getting caught receiving bribes and using President Nana Akufo-Addo’s name to cut shady deals, many other leading members of the FA including Sannie Daara, Kofi Manu, and Eddie Doku were caught taking bribes to fix players into national teams.

Nyantakyi who was arrested by the police and bailed and is under investigations has been dragged to FIFA by Anas.

It, therefore, should not come as a surprise if Kevin Prince Boateng feels vindicated by Anas’ video and wants everybody to know who was telling the truth.

Meanwhile, the government has to dissolve the current FA and has promised to ensure there is sanity in football in Ghana.
