Undoubtedly Shatta Wale is one of the smart artistes we have in Ghana. And he has always tried to stay on top, no matter the situation. His recent #Gringo music video is currently the talk of the town and perhaps one that has never hit the industry.
Many are of the view that the song #Gringo is wack and that Shatta Wale didn’t disappoint them per what they expected he would deliver but different from the music video of #Gringo
The concept of the music video even though applausive and I don’t know who wrote the script but I guess it’s Sesan Ogunro, the director. From the video storyline to visual editing & colouring effects everything was on point except for the fact that it was copied from a 2012 American movie titled El Gringo. When first saw this music video, I actually thought I was watching the El Gringo movie again until I saw El Shatta (Shatta Wale)
El Gringo (Bad Yankee) is a 2012 American action thriller film directed by Eduardo Rodríguez, produced by After Dark Films, written by Jonathan Stokes, and starring Scott Adkins, Christian Slater and Yvette Yates.

If you have ever seen that movie you’ll understand what I am talking about, Sesan actually did a lazy work on the storyline.
To me, there was nothing new in those visuals but I know a lot of people who do not know the music video is actually a copied version of the movie El Gringo will find it amazing.
Rating the music video, I would give them 57 out of 100. Costumes, visual editing and storyline all are portions of the American Movie: El Gringo.
I know many people would not side with me but I think it’s high time we create something original. We can do better than just copying other people’s works. Just have a look at the analysis below:
Storyline/Concept = 11/20 [Fully copied]
Visual Effect = 11/20 [Partially Copied]
Coloring Effect = 11 /20
Sound Mixing = 12/20
Music Editing = 12/20
Kindly watch the movie before you comment.
